Then they are joined by Candice Breitz and Brodie Neill, who both have pieces in the NGV Triennial exhibition. Candice is a Berlin based South African artist, and her work is the video instillation Love Story (featuring Julianne Moore & Alec Baldwin), which she has renamed Wilson Must Go in protest at the security firm’s work at the Manus Island and Nauru asylum seeker detention centres. Wilson provides security for the NGV. Brodie is a London based Tasmanian designer and his work is the table Gyro (featuring fragments of ocean plastic waste). The NGV Triennial, with work by more than 100 artists and designers from 32 countries, is on at NGV International (St Kilda Rd) from Friday (15th December 2017) to April 2018.
