THIS IS NOT MY WORLD

THIS IS NOT MY WORLD is a a series of works that Mar­co Fusina­to began in 2006, and now con­cludes as a sin­gu­lar installation.

Each work in the series has involved an invi­ta­tion by Fusina­to to a graph­ic design­er – based on their dis­tinct, typo­graph­ic style – to cre­ate a ban­ner fea­tur­ing the tit­u­lar slo­gan, which was orig­i­nal­ly attached to the side of a gov­ern­ment build­ing in Zagreb in a guer­ril­la action by the dis­si­dent Yugosla­vian ​‘Group of Six’ artists. Removed from the orig­i­nal ges­ture, and expand­ed across var­i­ous con­texts and peri­ods of time, each of Fusinato’s ban­ners are read as reflec­tions or com­ments on their con­tem­po­ra­ne­ous moment.
