Daniel Crooks

10th October – 20th December 2013
Samstag Museum of Art

Employing a complex range of techniques to investigate new ways of representing time and space, the screen becomes a malleable, fluid space in the skilful hands of Daniel Crooks. His alchemic process creates poetic and mesmerising interpretations of the everyday world. The resulting moving images invite long contemplation and repeated viewing, luring the spectator into sharing what seems a deceptively familiar world, albeit one seen from a new vantage point.

The exhibition Daniel Crooks is co-presented by Samstag Museum of Art, University of South Australia, and 2013 Adelaide Film Festival. The exhibition has been generously supported by Arts South Australia.
